Hi,

I know that Jade agents can be implemented for mobile devices. Is it possible to simulate the jason agents for the mobile devices as well. How can this be done?

Thanks in advanvce,
Pooja.

Hi Pooja,

the current version of Jason does not include primitives for mobility. However, you can code your own internal action that simply calls the jade move method. The code inside the internal action to get a reference for the jade class is

public Object execute(TransitionSystem ts, final Unifier un, Term[] args) throws Exception {
   JadeAgArch jadeAg = (JadeAgArch)ts.getUserAgArch().getArchInfraTier();
      ....

HTH,

Jomi

Hi,

Besides implementing mobile agents as Jomi explained, if you have a system and wants to run it on a mobile device, it's possible if the device is Android based. Jason runs on Android and in fact you can also run a combination of Jason and Cartago on Android, see:

jaca-android.sourceforge.net/

Unfortunately, you can't run Jason systems on e.g. an iPhone, because Apple mobile devices don't run Java-based systems.
